Naksa

The Naksa—meaning “setback” in Arabic—refers to the Israeli invasion and occupation of the Palestinian West Bank and Gaza Strip, Egyptian Sinai peninsula, and Syrian Golan Heights in June 1967. It is also referred to as the “Six Days War”. In total over 300,000 Palestinians were forcibly displaced during the invasion—including over 100,000 who were already refugees from the Nakba—and 100,000 Syrians were displaced from the Golan Heights.[1]
