Separation Wall

The separation wall is a barrier under construction by Israel since 2002.[1] Most of the wall’s planned 712km route[2] falls on Palestinian land in the West Bank, de-facto annexing almost 10% of the territory to Israel, and cutting off Palestinian communities from their land and livelihoods.[3] In 2004, the International Court of Justice ruled that the wall is illegal and should be removed, and that other countries are obliged not to recognize the wall or “to render aid or assistance in maintaining the situation.”[4]
